Slips, Trips & Falls
Slips, Trips & Falls VR training application, designed for the Meta Quest 3/3s headset, uses Passthrough technology to create realistic simulations of slip, trip, and fall (STF) hazards within the user's real-world environment. The training is intended for employees and focuses on demonstrating how distraction, multitasking, and cognitive overload can negatively affect situational awareness and workplace safety during everyday tasks.
Through interactive scenarios, users learn to identify hazards, eliminate distractions, and make safer decisions that help prevent accidents. Each scenario concludes with a science-based explanation of the causes of the incident, along with practical guidance on safe behaviors and risk prevention.
Thanks to its immersive nature, the application enables users to gain hands-on experience in a safe environment, increasing hazard awareness and reinforcing safe work habits that reduce the risk of slips, trips, and falls during field activities.
The application is currently under development and will soon be available through the EHS Academy.
